About Us

Free Spirit Social House is Bucks County’s first zero-proof cocktail bar and café: a place to go out, stay out, and still feel great the next morning.

It started with the Free Spirit bottle shop in Buckingham, where Christa Vigilante has spent the last three years showing people that a night out without alcohol can mean a lot more than soda water. Our regulars kept asking for somewhere to actually gather. When Jared Schafkopf, founder of Yerba Mate Life, and his father Gary joined as partners, that request became a real place.

Behind the bar you’ll find craft cocktails built on zero-proof spirits, house-made syrups and infusions, alongside traditional kava and yerba mate service, specialty coffee and tea. The kitchen pairs nostalgic American comfort food with Korean and Vietnamese street food: grilled cheese, pizza bagels, French onion dip, Korean hot dogs, bibimbap, banh mi and Spam musubi. On weekend mornings, we add scones, waffles, bagels and egg sandwiches.

Sober, sober-curious, or just taking a night off, you belong here. Come socialize, unwind and stay a while.

Find us at 29 S. Main St. in downtown Doylestown, beneath Zad Albasha, between the Gap and Serendipity.
